In April 2023, we had the pleasure of hosting a Community Coffee Hour with one of Athena’s heroes! Among other notable accomplishments, Robert Joe Lee helped create and implement court interpreting standards in the United States. This is the full recording of that conversation, which traces his early career (and family origin including soldier interpreters!) and his spearheading of a collaboration that resulted in certification tests and uniform standards throughout the country.
