FCICE Oral Exam Skills-Building Series – Payment Plan

Tuition includes: 

• 10 FCICE Mock Exams developed by Carola Lehmacher (We will use 5-6 exams during our time together, and you can use the remaining exams on your own)(If you already own these materials, let us know before you sign up and we will issue you a $500 discount code)
• Access to the FCICE simulator developed by Yadira Call
• 3-month Interpreter Pro subscription from Interpretrain (this will be for your personal exploration)
• Weekly instructor-led Zoom classes on Monday evenings from 8pm-10pm EST.
  • You are advised to attend live for maximum benefit and opportunities, but the classes will be recorded in case you need to view them asynchronously.
  • You will have access to Mock Exams, simulator and class recordings until the August 2026 testing phase has concluded.
  • Once the course ends, you will spend your final month of study integrating everything you have learned and finishing the remaining mock exams.

Each class will include some or all of the following:

• Demo from teacher
• Blind runs by participants focusing on a portion of that week’s mock exam
• In-class feedback for a portion of the participants (not everybody will get feedback with every class, but everyone will have the chance for feedback over the course of the 10 weeks)
• Breakout rooms where you interpret individually. Instructor will move from room to room to offer feedback.
• Test-taking tips (including breathing techniques, interpreting practice recommendations, anxiety management and scoring units advice)
• Guidance on how to study for the rest of the week (for maximum benefit, it is advised that you spend 10-12 hours a week outside of class analyzing and polishing your renditions.)
• Camaraderie and community!

• Live private coaching with Athena (special offer for participants of this course: $39 discount for total of $150)
• Asynchronous comprehensive interpreting evaluations by Gabriela and/or Gonzalo ($180)

  • Ability and patience to navigate software and other aspects of technology

• The lump sum option is $50 cheaper than the payment plan. 
• The course has NOT been pre-approved for Continuing Education. Attendance will not be taken and certificates will not be issued.
• Please also note that portions of the class may be posted later to our On Demand page and/or elsewhere. 
• Please note that this is NOT a Master Class, and the following Master Class components are NOT included with tuition: 
  • No outside accountability allies
  • No instructor guidance outside of classroom (although we will occasionally hold office hours and you are welcome to bring your questions there)
  • No homework supervision/accountability; you will be self-led
  • No pre-arranged study pods (again, you may arrange for this yourself, but it will not be curated by the instructors)
  • No performance night
