And yet, that’s kind of the problem. The words stick to us. In our search for equivalents, our delivery falters, full of backtracking and fillers. Syntactic tricks trap us with each sentence.
Join us for this workshop and learn to make your Sight Translation sound effortless, even when it doesn’t feel like it is. Sight Translation is the often overlooked mode of interpretation that really deserves a workshop of its own, and that is what we will be doing. We will compare and contrast texts from mock exams and real life scenarios (including text messages and the abominable abbreviations that arise!) and explore strategies for improving delivery.
