Simultaneous Skills-Building: Keeping up with the Judge

Cat got your tongue? Are you finding it hard to find the words when the judge barrels on at two hundred million words per minute? “Slow down!!” You wish you could yell into the courtroom. What do you DO, exactly, when you can’t keep up?

In this class we’ll explore what to do on the job when we’re struggling to keep up, and how we can prepare in advance to maximize our changes for success. Then, of course, we will practice. This workshop will introduce a plethora of exercises designed to target key weaknesses and bring your interpreting to the next level. We will break down our interpretations, strategize solutions, and implement them so that you feel a new sense of confidence in this mode of interpreting.
